The analysis substations can be configured to process a mixture of analog or digital inputs. With these substation modules as independent building blocks, the input points to a Sensodec 6S system can be cost effectively configured to cover only one critical process area, or it can be scaled upward, step by step, to include a complete plant.

The server, which is based on high-performance commercial computing hardware, is scalable to address the simplest monitoring needs up to a complete plant. Thanks to its distributed design and the high-speed TCP/IP network, new monitoring points and analysis substations can be added without affecting the speed of response.
