Orebed Mill Linings

During the 1970s Metso developed and patented the Orebed mill lining, a magnetic mill liner system with unique properties. The Orebed mill liner was designed to increase throughput, particularly in mills grinding ferromagnetic material.

Main features of Skega Orebed Mill Liners:

• Magnetic force ensures that the mill lining attracts ferromagnetic material in the mill load, forming a continuous wear layer with a wave profile. Magnetic force also keeps the lining in place.
• The Skega Orebed Mill Lining inclusive of the wear layer is, in most cases, much thinner than a traditional mill lining.
