SteamCone – Internal cone for surge bins
Enables better feeding to the plug screw and efficiency of the presteaming.
The bottom part of the existing chip bin will be replaced by a bottom part with an internal cone. The steam will be distributed throughout the center of the bin instead of from the outer diameter and the efficiency of the steam will therefore be better.
The internal cone will release the chip pressure on the outlet section and the feeding to the plug screw feeder will therefore be more even. That can in some cases also make a more even dewatering in the screw feeder and more even moisture to the dryer.
