Axcelerator – Axial dewatering

The Metso Axcelerator is an add-on component that fits on the end housing on the inlet of the screw press provid­ing additional dewatering surface area.
Cleaning blades with replaceable inserts sweep across the screen plate to aid dewatering. The bearing arrangement is unchanged and installation only requires minor modification to the inlet chamber.

Higher capacity
Installing an axial screen plate in the screen press inlet increases the dewatering area. At pulp concentrations below 4% there is good potential to increase press capacity by up to 25%. The screen plate is kept open by means of a doctor blade mounted on the screw press shaft.
